A Statement by Paul S. Waugh – Why Lighthouse Global is a Provably Observable Threat to The Top-Tier Establishment and Its Totalitarian Agenda and Why They Have Attacked Us in Order to Destroy.

I have written this statement as a contextual precursor to all articles written in relation to the Establishment, BBC, agencies and mainstream media attacks on us.
It is critical that you understand the real underlying reason we were — and are — continually and increasingly attacked in order for us to be destroyed by their hand.
Here is a starting question…
Why would they spend five very long years (to date) and tens of millions of pounds attempting to destroy us?
SPOILER ALERT — I will tell you this, it’s not because we are this micro “cult” founded and run by a petty liar, mind-controller (like them) and non-criminal (like me).
Note: I would like to be clear that our main restraining force to getting the truth out to date is, has been and will be the extent, or lack of global public reach; something the BBC, mainstream media and agencies are working hard on behind the scenes to deny us (such reach) at all costs.
They cannot afford for us to expose and reveal them for who they really are, for what they have done and are doing.
They will never be trusted by the public ever again once they are fully exposed, in line with their diabolical modus operandi.
This is now about to change dramatically for the Glory of God and His Truth…
So why did the Establishment spend millions on attacking Lighthouse Global?
Well it certainly wasn’t because they were "exposing" this tiny micro entity (or "cult") called Lighthouse for all the laboriously false reasons they gave in their provably fake documentary.
A documentary with literally hundreds of falsehoods, lies and deceptions in it, which we will reveal comprehensively.
Here is the real reason why the Establishment spent so much time, effort and money on us...
They spent millions of pounds attempting to destroy the credibility of the people (us at Lighthouse) in order to obliterate the most ground-breaking human potential research ever.
This is totally in line with our plans to influence the building of millions of purpose-built, solution-orientated, problem-solving communities worldwide.
Secularly speaking, most of these purpose-built communities would not be formed under or initiated by Lighthouse (as this huge dark "sinister cult" - cue sinister BBC music...) but independently started and run.
Why?
So that people would not be as reliant on the state and the Establishment and so they could be in better control of our common problems.
Governments would be smaller and taxation a fraction of what it is now.
Here is the problem to the Establishment, especially those at the top tier... They do not want to relinquish control.
They want more.
How much more? Totalitarian levels of more.
They therefore desperately need to stop us.
Note: Additionally, many of these purpose-built communities would be started by us Christians, in line with our commission in Christ, and our obstacles to achieving the Kingdom's said aims and objectives etc.
When the Establishment realised this... they REALLY pulled out their big war chest and their collective big guns!
So what did they do?
They spent millions of pounds to prevent our research, findings and evidence being revealed publicly.
They simply could not afford to be exposed.
They spent millions of pounds and years of effort using huge multi-agency teams to try and destroy us.
They spent millions of pounds and put hundreds of people to work at huge risk to their reputation, credibility and existence.
Why?
As said, to do their absolute damnedest to destroy this Christian initiative of global purpose-directed community teachers and builders.
No… they were not using all these resources over the last five years to attempt to destroy a little micro “cult”. A supposed cult that was taking over a relative handful of people's lives (20 or so at the time)... apparently.
They were out to destroy our work because its potential to empower people’s lives threatened their very existence as a totalitarian-intentioned Establishment.
It threatened their power, position, their totalitarian-control agenda and their stranglehold on all resources and wealth.
Most of the Associates at Lighthouse have had little idea of the extent, breadth and depth of our research program. It had to be kept largely, almost extensively under the radar.

No matter how much they endeavour to destroy myself, Paul S. Waugh, with their lies — or even the truth (which would be an extreme change) — it does not and will not change the truth about the systemic strategies they use to drastically limit the masses, A.K.A. the non-elites.
Destroying us by smearing or otherwise will not change who they are and what they are doing.
It will not change the truth.
We will vindicate the truth by eliminating the false narrative between us (the people and the truth) that is being orchestrated by a corrupt media and its establishment.
We will soon be launching our new desperately needed organisation, Vindicate International, for this very purpose. We will correct the record one way or the other.
We will lobby and do the necessary advocacy work in relation to how correction of the record is implemented and most notably stymied at an implementation level by various regulatory organisations, like Ofcom and IPSO.
So attempting to destroy us at Lighthouse Global will not change the truth... or who hears it.
In fact, all this time, money and effort spent intending to destroy our work and our lives has just served to make their problem - and the consequences for their heinous actions against us - worse at an exponential level!
We are now seeing that they are slowly starting to realise this.... finally.
They still have a way to go, but they are getting there.
To attempt to ruin myself, Lighthouse Global and its Associates - or not - is to ruin themselves. They have done and intend to do terrible things to the global population.
The Establishment simply, by God’s own laws and principles, cannot TALK themselves out of what they have collectively ACTED themselves into!
In The Final Analysis...
When an Establishment organisation like the BBC needs to destroy someone or a group that are doing the right thing that is genuinely in the public interest (especially for the Glory of God), but against their overlord and elites’ ruinous agenda, they need to find a fabricated and contrived reason in the so-called public interest to do so.
They did this with their fake documentary “A Very British Cult”.
THEN THEY PROVABLY GOT ESTABLISHMENT AGENCIES AND CO-CONSPIRATORS TO GRANT IT FALSE CREDIBILITY.
This ultimately all comes imminently with two ruinous things for them:
- A terrible price in the medium and long term across the board.
- A very short timeline from here.

Exposing a Smear Campaigner
What you’re about to read is a case study.
This is not only about Richard Thomas and his wife Antonia Brider-Thomas’ abhorrent abuse of the truth.
This is about how to handle toxic individuals behind a smear campaign by holding them fully, legally and lawfully accountable to the truth.
We want everyone reading this to know that when anyone in your life is toxic or has someone toxic in their life, then you always run the risk of them turning on you at any point. We have discovered this firsthand at Lighthouse and hence now have a responsibility to educate and support others to protect themselves from toxic influences.
If you are unfamiliar with who Richard Thomas really is, you can read a brief summary here:
Specifically in this case, Mr Thomas made wildly false and malicious allegations about Paul S. Waugh and Lighthouse Global that are provably untrue, which we will demonstrate with the full receipts here in this article and beyond.
In April 2022, Tom Kelly of the Daily Mail published an article smearing Lighthouse Global (then Lighthouse International Group) as a “trendy” life-coaching group that allegedly fleeced, manipulated, and threatened “middle-class members”.
Despite the Daily Mail receiving hundreds of pages of carefully prepared and documented evidence from Lighthouse Global to refute all allegations, the Daily Mail published a hit piece targeting Lighthouse and Paul S. Waugh. Whilst this comprehensive 17,000-word response was hidden from the public, the Daily Mail gave voice and reach of millions of readers online, to our provably false accusers and fake whistleblowers.
One of those individuals (and the only source foolishly willing to put his face to the article) was Richard Thomas.
For context, Mr Thomas volunteered himself and invested £25k in the Lighthouse Associate Elect Programme (a programme which had many levels of involvement, of which Mr Thomas was involved at the lowest level; only being involved in meetings once per week). This is a direct contrast with the utter lie the BBC presented where Lighthouse supposedly took over people’s lives!
What is critical to mention upfront is that despite all the grandiose and malicious claims by Mr Thomas, Paul S. Waugh and Lighthouse have not received one lawyer’s or any criminal charges pertaining to Richard Thomas’ provably false allegations on social media and in the Daily Mail.
The Facts the Daily Mail Omitted
Here’s a brief summary of what the Daily Mail’s Tom Kelly omitted in his hit-piece article on Lighthouse:
- Paul S. Waugh approached Richard Thomas about an unwarranted refund out of concern for Mr Thomas’ health, caused very likely by his wife’s toxic and destructive behaviour. More about Antonia Brider-Thomas’s sabotage of Richard Thomas’ involvement is explained here.
- Mr Thomas did not first approach Paul S. Waugh for a refund.
- He wilfully ignored multiple refund offers from Paul over months.
- Mr Thomas was not due a refund after years of service, mentoring, coaching, counselling, and support, including pro bono support from his mentor Shaun Cooper.
- Mr Thomas walked away from his commitment, the opportunity at Lighthouse and his God-given human potential.
- Both Shaun Cooper and Paul S. Waugh maintained their commitment to Mr Thomas, if anything, going well out of their way to support him.
- The compassionate refund was suspended until an investigation into Antonia’s suspected predatory anti-Lighthouse involvement was conducted.
- Mr Thomas did not on any occasion deny Mrs Brider-Thomas’s involvement in the hate and smear campaign against Lighthouse.
We will now go into greater depth of these areas with the associated evidence.
The Reality of The Compassionate Refund Offered by Paul S. Waugh
Tom Kelly and the Daily Mail portrayed Richard Thomas as an honest, weak and vulnerable man who asked Lighthouse to return his £25,000 investment in himself, only to be met with refusal, pressure and threats.
His wife, Antonia Brider-Thomas, was portrayed by the Daily Mail as the encouraging and supportive woman who helped him escape.
The reality is the opposite and substantiated by Mr Thomas’s own text messages (some of which are presented below).
Mr Thomas was extremely weak emotionally. He was grossly unprepared for family life. Consequently, both his marriage and responsibilities as a father suffered tremendously.
He came to Lighthouse because he was crumbling emotionally and knew he needed to change himself and grow his character as a man, husband and father. We’ve explained more about the reasons for Mr Thomas seeking help through Lighthouse in this Daily Update on 29th July 2026.
His wife Antonia, however, was totally unwilling and resistant to seeing the need to grow emotionally. In fact, she sought to sabotage her husband’s attempts at becoming a better man. She became a major problem, if not the major problem, in the way of his growth.
His own messages reveal the scale of the conflict at home. In reference to not being able to dial into a weekly group call on 15th May 2021, he told Shaun Cooper: “Antonia is really going for it about being in the call,” adding later that “the argument still continues right now.”
The following day, he described the situation as “an absolute battle” and said: “I need some time to think about this and work through it with Antonia mate.” He concluded: “At the end of the day, Ive got to do what’s right for Antonia, the kids and family.”
These are not the words of a man reporting newly discovered fraud or criminality. They describe a man under intense marital and family pressure. He believed his efforts to grow and develop with Lighthouse threatened the stability of his home because of the relentless pressure from his wife.
The Cause of Richard Thomas Turning on Lighthouse
Before Mr Thomas sold out to his toxic wife and the Daily Mail and publicly accused Paul S. Waugh or Lighthouse Global of wrongdoing, Paul had already offered to return the entire £25,000 of Mr Thomas’ investment in the Associate Elect Programme. This was on exceptional and compassionate grounds, not because he was in any way due a refund of any sort.
Richard Thomas suffered so grossly from the emotional damage caused by his wife, Antonia Brider-Thomas, that he was so ill that he was barely able to use his investment in himself. This is in contrast to fellow Associate Elects Joanne Holmes and Rachel Jones, who had demanded a significant amount of attention from Paul S. Waugh and Senior Associates to help them with both challenges and opportunities they were working on as part of their respective Associate Elect Programmes.
Paul was deeply concerned about Mr Thomas’s physical health, emotional condition and the severe conflict within his marriage. Especially, in Mr Thomas’ words, the “positional fighting” with his wife.
This was not an admission that Mr Thomas was legally entitled to a refund. It was an unprecedented act of compassion towards a man Paul believed was physically unwell, emotionally overwhelmed and trapped in severe conflict at home.
Additionally, there was no mention of the fact that Mr Cooper had mentored Mr Thomas pro bono for months when Mr Thomas was between jobs. That fact completely ruins the false Daily Mail narrative of these manipulative and coercive thieves.
Repeated Offers Ignored by Richard Thomas
Paul S. Waugh repeatedly attempted to contact Richard Thomas over several months in 2021. Mr Thomas did not even have the courtesy and decency to acknowledge the goodwill and gesture.
On 15 May 2021, when Shaun Cooper messaged Mr Thomas and reiterated the numerous offers, Mr Thomas did eventually respond. This message included the following offer:
“Paul has never done this for any Associate or Associate Elect, but he is ready to give you your Associate Elect Investment of £25,000 back if circumstances around your investment are going to have a massive detrimental affect on your health.”
In a message with his mentor, Shaun Cooper, Richard Thomas refers to a message sent by Paul S. Waugh to Joanne Holmes. He describes the message as vitriolic, but this is simply not the case given the full context behind this said message.

The Untold Reality of The Message Sent To Joanne Holmes
You will see in the screenshot messages above that there is reference to a message sent by Paul S. Waugh to Richard Thomas’ friend, fellow Associate-Elect and (tragically) fellow predatory troll, Joanne Holmes.
Richard Thomas expressed difficulty in defending “such vitriol”, but it is critical to give context to this message.
First of all, Antonia Brider-Thomas was persecuting and attacking LONG before the said text was sent to Joanne Holmes. Mrs Brider-Thomas attacked and screamed at her husband for investing a small portion of his time into being part of weekly Lighthouse meetings.
She was not screaming at him outside of the meetings, but whilst he was on calls trying to participate!
In fact, the text from Paul S. Waugh came following Joanne Holmes’ vicious attack on him and her mentor, Shaun Cooper. During a conference call that had been set up to address Ms Holmes’ malicious accusations, she launched a tyrade of false accusations and ad hominem at Paul.
For transparency (and now serving as evidence), this call was recorded. We will be divulging the details of this call and all evidence proving Ms Holmes for who she really is, soon.
This attack was heavily influenced by Ms Holmes’ new boyfriend, who we believe manipulated her to turn on Lighthouse, Paul and Shaun. The Jezebel Syndrome can apply to toxic males just the same as toxic females.
Additional background to Ms Holmes’ vitriol and attacks were that she had a crush on Shaun as her mentor, with her affections being unrequited.
Ms Holmes made inappropriate advances on Mr Cooper which he refuted, given the sacred nature of their mentoring and coaching relationship.
Joanne Holmes became disappointed and embarrassed, before feeling rejected, then becoming toxic and embittered.
Paul S. Waugh was rightfully impelled to hold Ms Holmes accountable for her malicious behaviour.
Meanwhile Antonia Brider-Thomas was desperately looking for anything to attack Paul S. Waugh and Lighthouse.
So, with the full context, the reality is that the message to Joanne Holmes was not vitriolic at all. On the contrary; it actually laid out her psychopathic behaviour.
Joanne Holmes’ Risk to Children
Paul S. Waugh challenged Joanne Holmes in part because she was a teacher dealing with children. If she could be so violent and threatening in a professional and business setting with adults, then evidently she could behave in an equally destructive way with children.
Paul was deeply concerned with the psychopathic traits that she had demonstrated, both in regards to her position as a teacher and an Associate-Elect at Lighthouse.
The message sent to Ms Holmes was no rash, impulsive text message.
It was sent to Ceri Jones as the then-Head Teacher at her school (Chipping Hill Primary School). Such was the legitimacy of the concern that there were interactions with the local authority safeguarding team and Ofsted. These interactions continued for a year.
Ms Holmes later to had to leave the school and has gone into hiding.
Ceri Jones has also since left the school.
It must be said that we at Lighthouse did not want Ms Holmes or Mr Jones to lose their jobs. We deliberately and carefully went out of our way to recommend remedial help for Ms Holmes, in order to develop her character, get the counselling she needed in order to be able to serve children maturely and responsibly.
Whilst this message was devastating to Ms Holmes’ false idea of herself as a ‘caring primary school teacher’, everything stated in this message can be backed up through the experience of working directly with Ms Holmes; recognising when, how and why she turned on those who had significantly gone out of their way to support her for years, at great cost to themselves.
Similarly, Antonia Brider-Thomas could not tolerate Paul’s message to Joanne Holmes because he was calling out characteristics that Mrs Brider-Thomas evidently has in herself. We say this based on her deliberate actions to sabotage her husband’s efforts to become a better man, husband and father.
There are literally thousands of pages of evidence on the above analyses and commentary.
Once again, the falsehoods published in the Daily Mail (and subsequently broadcast by the BBC) do not withstand scrutiny provided in the forms of truth and evidence.
The full facts, evidence and truth in the hands of us at Lighthouse Global means that the provable lies from fake whistleblowers, the Daily Mail and the BBC are not standing and certainly will not stand the test of time in terms of public opinion.

The Jezebel Syndrome
In another act of unwarranted self-extension at his own cost, Paul S. Waugh invited Richard Thomas to meet him personally, to discuss his circumstances and agree on a way forward, out of concern for Mr Thomas.
Mr Thomas later declined: “I appreciate the offer to meet Paulie, but I would like to respectfully decline.”
We strongly suspect this was because of the pressure he was receiving from his wife, Antonia.
Antonia Brider-Thomas’s Anti-Lighthouse Position
During this period, Lighthouse began to suspect that Antonia Brider-Thomas’ hostility had moved beyond private arguments with Mr Thomas and into the wider anti-Lighthouse smear campaign.
Because Paul’s proposed £25,000 refund was an exceptional act of compassion—not an admission of contractual liability—the offer was suspended while Antonia’s suspected involvement was investigated.
Had she played no part in the online attacks, Mr Thomas had every reason to cooperate and remain confident that the evidence would clear her. Instead, the refund process was placed on hold pending the outcome of that investigation. In time, it was evident that Antonia Brider-Thomas was very active in conspiring with Joanne Holmes to try and destroy Lighthouse Global and Paul S. Waugh. On this basis, the refund offer was subsequently withdrawn due to the malicious intent and the extent of the damage done.
Correcting The Falsified Record
This is just a tiny fragment of the significant evidence the Daily Mail deliberately withheld in order to present a falsified account and smear Lighthouse. Paul was not ruthlessly refusing to help Mr Thomas. He was trying to support a man whom he believed was being devastated by illness and toxic pressure from his wife.
The same Richard Thomas had previously told Paul: “I know there is no ruthless streak Paulie.”
He also described Paul’s care as “amazing” and acknowledged that Shaun had mentored him for months without charging him.
Richard Thomas and the Daily Mail’s Tom Kelly replaced that reality of compassion with a provably false narrative of a caring wife helping her husband out of a group falsely presented as fraudulent and exploitative.
They deliberately omitted the prior refund offer, the repeated unanswered messages, Paul’s concern for Mr Thomas’s wellbeing and Mr Thomas’s refusal to meet.
Those were not minor details. They were the facts that dismantled the entire narrative.
In due course, along with the BBC, we will be holding Mr Kelly and the Daily Mail fully and comprehensively accountable to their smear campaign on Lighthouse Global. We expect them to try and blame their sources like Mr Thomas when we correct the falsified record publicly. However, we will make sure that everyone at that newspaper outlet responsible for this abomination of an attack on Lighthouse is held accountable. There will be no hiding behind the institution, and Mr Kelly will personally be held accountable along with the Daily Mail.

There’s an old 90’s song that had these lyrics…
“Uh-oh, we’re in trouble. Something’s come along and it’s burst our bubble”
I think that is the ongoing anthem for Richard Thomas, his wife, if they are still together, and the rest of the predatory troll fake whistleblowers who tried to destroy Lighthouse instead of take responsibility for their lives. They have been living in a putrid bubble of lies, delusions and self-destruction. Now that bubble’s being popped with aplomb! Richard Thomas’ lies are being revealed for all to see who he really is. Wow, it is NOT good for him. No matter how hard any of us try and run from the truth, the truth always wins. Because it’s real, and we cannot outrun, outsmart or hide from reality forever. I really, really hope this is a big wake up for Mr Thomas – I say that because I am confident he is reading these articles and waiting for his name and his lies to be revealed.
What baffles me is he literally had Paul S. Waugh reach out to give an unprecedented offer of refund, ignored and denied it… and then tried to blackmail Paul for the money?! What planet was he on? Such a tragic reality, it really did not have to be this way at all – if he had pushed through the initial difficulties and faced reality, stepped up. He had the support here in Shaun, Paul and the rest of the community to help him grow!
There’s way more substance, evidence and full context in this one article than in all the Daily Mail articles on Lighthouse combined!
It’s a perniciously deliberate oversight by the Daily Mail’s Tom Kelly to not bring this into what he’s written. He calls himself an investigative journalist and yet he’s not actually conducted a true investigation, just a biased hit piece full of hearsay! Who knows what he would’ve written had we not sent a 17,000-word response to his initial questions.
Again it’s tragic how Antonia Brider-Thomas sought to completely decimate her husband’s efforts to regenerate and grow. When we discussed the issue of “loving saboteurs” on a call, this was scoffed at by Richard Thomas and yet that’s what undid his efforts to become a better man, husband and father.
This has been shared by Lighthouse before but it never ceases to amaze me how the very subject of the grievance Mr Thomas had is an utterly false one. His qualm was purely financial, no alleged abuse or anything, which is good because that would have been false as well. But it does beg the question, for anyone paying attention but not quite sure of the facts, if the BBC and Daily Mail lied about that against Lighthouse, what else did they lie about or fail to verify with any of their lies?
This is defintely what the Daily Mail and BBC didn’t tell millions. It’s a very sad situation. One minute Mr Thomas was on a call the next he became so intxicated with the need for a vendetta for a situation that was created in his mind. I pray he heals.
Ms Holmes and his wife have played an enormous part here. Again the increasing levels of toxicity are the predominant contributing fator. The Jezabel Syndrome is unfortuntately strong in this case.
Thank you for sharing more about Richard Thomas and his wife. This really makes me question the Daily Mail’s reporting. If Richard Thomas had genuinely been “defrauded”, why was he offered an exceptional £25,000 compassionate refund? That single fact completely changes the context and deserves to be considered by anyone wanting to understand what actually happened.
There was a genuine attempt to help Mr Thomas move forward, both personally and financially.
It becomes clearer that the simplified narrative presented by the media is just false. Ultimately, truth depends on the full context and that’s why articles like this are so important to show in this case what Mr Thomas and his wife’s real characters are.
Thank you for correcting the public record here. What stands out is that in order to correct that record, you’re less amending what has been said publicly (although that too) but far more providing so much of the context and evidential information that’s been kept from public knowledge. When all the facts and circumstances around this person’s claims against Paul and Lighthouse are laid out on the table, there is a very verrrrry different picture here. No wonder Mr Thomas and the likes of him who are all part of this same toxic smear campaign have all stayed so far as they have from calls to public debate and defending their claims under scrutiny. And when there is such evidence as this waiting to come out, can you blame them? They are completely discredited and revealed. It’s awful that human pride and ego is so diabolic as it is because it would do Mr Thomas and his wife so much more good in the end to come clean, accept their wrongdoing and seek to make amends through repentance and contrition. Something their children would no doubt benefit from immensely, both from the example and also from the transformation that would bring in their parents.
Shame-oh-shame, relying on ill gotten gain to get what you want…tut, tut. What struck me most is how much difference the full evidence and context make. It is deeply troubling to see how easily a public narrative can be shaped when such significant facts are omitted. Reading about the repeated compassion, patience and willingness to help shape the reality of what actually happened beyond the facade attempting to be presented. Thank you for continuing to bring the documentary record into the light and for reminding us that truth ultimately stands on evidence, not headlines.
Thank you for keeping us informed with this update. There is so much that goes on behind the scenes that isn’t presented upfront, and this is a crucial part of what we are seeing here with Richard Thomas, Jo Holmes, and the influence of Antonia Brider-Thomas. It’s sad that it came to this, especially given that Paul tried to refund Richard’s investment in himself.
